Art Made for Exactly for You
In the past most artworks that we now see in museums was
commissioned, e.g. an artist was approached by a patron with a specific request
in mind. As a result churches and chapels throughout Italy and France were
decorated with exquisite frescos and numerous portraits were painted routinely
throughout Europe.So if you have a specific subject in
mind, however fantastic, usual or unusual it may be,
let me know and I will be delighted to create a painting or
drawing for you of the size you want and using a media of your choice (e.g. oil
on canvas, oil on board, watercolors, colored pencil, pastels, charcoal or
graphite).
Typical commissions include landscapes, houses, pets, fantasy
subjects like Ishtar and of course portraits.
Portraits
Portraits are the most usual commissions by far. When
commissioning a portrait keep in mind that the difficulty and time required for
the task scales with the number of persons depicted. Minimum portrait size is
11"x14" +/-. Group portrait dimensions scale with the size of the group. If you
want to commission a portrait it is always best to
contact me first for a free consultation.
Murals
Murals commissions mostly apply to commercial properties. Do you
want to liven up your business (e.g. spa, restaurant) with a lively acrylic
mural? Or do you want a soothing wall-size image at home?
